Summary of Report of Woodhead Commission on Palestine

Transcribed from the clipping
“The Royal Commission presided over by the late Earl Peel proposed a solution of the Palestinian problem by means of a scheme of partition… The report of the Palestine Partition Commission rejected the recommendations of the Royal Commission.”
Context added by this archive
The commission that undid Peel, printed whole alongside the text of the British policy statement. It concluded that partition as recommended was impracticable. Until this clipping the archive held nothing at all on Woodhead.
