YOU KNOW BECAUSE YOU READ THE AFRO 13 JULY 25, 1970 THE BALTIMORE ARFO-AMERICAN, An Appeal by BLACK AMERICANS For United States SUPPORT to ISRAEL The crisis in the Middle East is a cause of great concer to all Americans- Some Americans, Including a small minority of blacks, have expressed the non-Jew as well as Jew, black as well as white.
Our concern as black feeling that the Midale East crisis is fundamentally a racial conflict between Americans is motivated not only by the threat to world peace which is posed nonwhite Arabs and white Israelis. We think that this point of view is not by the Arab-Israell conflict.
We are also moved by the ideals of democracy only uninformed but dangerously misleading, It ignores the fact that ap- and social justice, ideals which we have struggled to achieve in this country proximately half the Jewish Israeli population consists of immigrants from and wh
