Palestinians See Huge Meteor

Transcribed from the clipping
Palestinians See Huge Meteor Wireless to THE NEW YORK TIMES. JERUSALEM, May 27—Inhabl- tants of Western Palestine and Lebanon, watching the sunset Sun- day, witnessed the rare spectacle of a huge meteor, burning first red and then green as it fell, and leav- ing a white trail of ash dust that spread out in a huge cloud.
This portentous appearance has led the more superstitious inhabitants of the Fastern Mediterranean coun- tries to expect some major political event in the near future.
