PALESTINE ARABS PROTEST

Transcribed from the clipping
“The Arab executive issued a proclamation calling on the Arabs of Palestine to strike, to gather in the mosques and churches, and to cable their protest against the Balfour declaration to the Mandates Commission.”
Context added by this archive
A general strike called for the seventh anniversary of Balfour, observed by the Muslim-Christian Association. The paper quotes the declaration’s own promise that nothing shall prejudice the rights of existing non-Jewish communities, directly above the account of those communities striking.
