“ARAB REFUGEES—Fearing for their lives, Arab refugees waited last Sunday along the Haifa, Palestine waterfront for boats to take them across the bay to the all-Arab city of Acre. Thousands of Arab men, women and children sought refuge in the Haifa dock area as Jewish forces seized the seaport as the first step in their campaign to dominate Palestine after British troops withdraw two weeks from today.” (AP)
