Four Arab Stores Closed by Israelis"" By TERENCE SMITH Special to The New York Timer JERUSALEM, Aug. 8-Four stores in East Jerusalem were! padlocked by the Israoli au-" thorities today and five arrest! warrants were issued in re-l" taliation for the gencral strike? by the Arab population yes-(! terday.

In addition, the operating license of an Arab bus com." pany serving the castern part'" of Jerusalem and its suburbs'" was lifted for an indefinite^ perind. The warrants were issued f against five suspected instiga-| tors of the strike, which halted! all business activity in the former Jordanian sector. Thei accused organizers were not| identified.

They were expected. to be arrested shortly.
