Ten weeks after the war, and the standing head is ISRAELI OCCUPATION in small capitals — a Spokane paper using the word as a department label, the way another page would say SPORTS. Underneath, the headline takes the two subjects to be joblessness and closed banks, and gives the people the adjective impoverished rather than the verb.
