Transcribed from the clipping

“Yasir Abdallah al-Tarzi has not been able to go home for five days… a group of Israeli soldiers pulled up outside the Nativity Bakery in Bethlehem and told 18-year-old Iyad Elsheweiki and his two brothers they would have to shut down the ovens in their family’s bakery and go home.”

Context added by this archive

Youssef M. Ibrahim, under the standing head How It Feels to Be Occupied. The curfew counted in ordinary objects: the last bottle of tetanus injection on a pharmacy shelf, ovens shut at a bakery, a third of the nursing and medical staff of Makassed Hospital unable to reach it. Named here: Yasir Abdallah al-Tarzi, Younis Alwohoush, Iyad Elsheweiki and Dr. Rustom Nammari.
