7 More Israeli Arabs Jailed; Tied to Palestinian Bombing

Transcribed from the clipping
“Interior Minister Eli Yishai has called for stripping Israeli Arab suspects of their citizenship, depriving them of legal advantages enjoyed by citizens. Politicians have also called for the demolition of their houses.”
Context added by this archive
Serge Schmemann. The proposal is to remove citizenship from suspects — people not yet tried — and the phrase for what citizenship gives them is legal advantages. House demolition, the clause notes, is already policy elsewhere.
