Caption: “Palestinians march Sunday in Gaza City to mark Al-Nakba — Arabic for 'the catastrophe' — which is how they describe Israel's creation 57 years ago. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said, 'Palestinians have a homeland, and it is called Palestine.'” A second photograph is captioned: “Maryam Saarouf, 77, who lives in the Kalandia refugee camp near Bethlehem in the West Bank, holds the key to her family's former house Sunday. Saarouf and her family left their home in Ramallah in 1947.”
