Palestine Column Called Misleading

“To the Editor: George Schuyler’s recent article on the Palestine question is the most disgraceful and misleading article of many written on the subject. It is obvious that Mr. Schuyler has no facts on the present situation in Palestine, nor on the conditions existing at any other time and why they existed. These facts aren’t picked up at the corner newsstand. Palestine is not owned by either of the peoples contesting for it, Jews or Arabs. It is controlled by moneyed interests, British and American, lock, stock and barrel. The people there now are suffering from a condition imposed upon them, ‘divide and rule.’ We have seen the picture of it enough in America, and the results: race riots, lynchings, jim crow politics, and every other form of division among the people.”
