JERUSALEM, April 5—Arabs have been selling land to Jews during the Palestine disorders, it was said semi-officially tonight. A spokesman for the Jewish National Fund, the Zionists’ primary land-purchasing and reclamation body, said that the fund had bought more than 9,500 dunams of land from October, 1947, to Feb. 29. (Four dunams are one acre.)

By far the larger part of the new purchases, in twelve districts, was from Arabs, the spokesman said. When conditions were normal the Jewish National Fund bought 13,000 dunams.
