Palestinians Due More Voice In Gaza Rule
The Associated Press, Cairo, March 11

Transcribed from the clipping
“Cairo, March 11 (AP)—Egyptian authorities are to announce Saturday a new organic law for the Gaza Strip giving Palestinians greater participation in the government. But the Egyptian military government will retain supreme powers.
As published in the Gaza Official Gazette, the law gives Palestinians a big majority over Egyptians in the 30-man Legislative Council… This will be the first time Gaza Palestinians have had a hand in governing the strip as a whole…
Nasser Motives Eyed. Palestinians living in the area have elected their own municipal councils but had no participation in the over-all government… An all-Palestine government was formed in 1948 with its capital in Gaza and still exists in theory.
This government never took over administrative functions in Gaza, however, and its ministers spent most of their time in Cairo. The new Legislative Council will include 23 Palestinians and 7 Egyptians.”

Most of the shorter text appears in the longer one. Found by comparing transcriptions, not by reading them side by side, so this establishes that the text overlaps and not that these papers ran the same dispatch. How this was done.

The clipping belongs to the newspaper that printed it, or to the news agency that supplied the copy. It is reproduced here for research, criticism and commentary. A city here is where the newspaper was published, not where the story came from, and on most records it was taken from the masthead.
