U.N. Agency Says Israel Tortures and Pillages

Transcribed from the clipping
“The United Nations Human Rights Commission adopted a resolution today accusing Israel of torture and of the pillaging of archaeological and cultural property in the Arab territories it occupies.”
Context added by this archive
February 1977, four months before the Sunday Times investigation. The resolution couples torture with the removal of antiquities, which is how the two complaints travelled together in the 1970s record.
