“JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli soldiers fatally shot a Palestinian woman and wounded four other people today during protests that swept the occupied territories, a hospital spokesman and Palestinian news reports said… In Ramallah, soldiers fired on hundreds of students who blocked a main road with stones and burning tires, killing one person and wounding four who were rushed to the Ramallah Hospital, the Arab-owned Palestine Press Service said. The dead woman, identified by the hospital as 35-year-old Amayat Hindi of Ramallah, was shot while on her way to pick up her small children from school, the Press Service said. She wanted to bring her children home because of the protests, the agency said.”
