“The 80-year-old Mufti of Jerusalem, Saad Al-Din Al-Alami, is carried to a hospital by aides yesterday after he was overcome by tear gas fired by riot police. The Mufti led about 200 Moslems to the Temple Mount the day after 19 Palestinians were killed.”
A correction
The clipping carries the caption but no date. The caption places it the day after 19 Palestinians were killed at the Temple Mount, which dates it to October 1990.
