Scores of Palestinians killed along Israeli border
Violence takes place as move of US Embassy to Jerusalem marked

How this transcription was made
The scan is the two-line headline and the line beneath it; there is no body text on it to transcribe.

Scores is a word that avoids a number. The dead are killed by nobody, and where they are killed is along Israeli border — not at the fence around Gaza, which is what it was. Then the line beneath: violence takes place, which is a thing that happens the way weather happens, while the embassy move is marked. The next day a St.
Louis columnist wrote the same events as Nothing says ‘peace’ like dead Palestinians (CP-2018-007).

This record is part of Covering Palestine, an archive of American newspaper clippings about Palestinians, 1724 to 2023. Researched and assembled by Maria Robles.
The clipping belongs to the newspaper that printed it, or to the news agency that supplied the copy. It is reproduced here for research, criticism and commentary. A city here is where the newspaper was published, not where the story came from, and on most records it was taken from the masthead.
Something wrong here, or something you know about this clipping? The archive is still being built and corrections are wanted: maria@rozumstudio.com, quoting CP-2018-006.
