“GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Archaeologists in the Gaza Strip have unearthed two ornate lead sarcophagi in a Roman-era cemetery… Fadel Al-Otul, a Palestinian archaeologist, said the find was the most important in the territory in years… The cemetery was discovered last year during construction work funded by Egypt… Rene Elter, a French archaeologist who has worked in Gaza for years, said… ‘The Gazans deserve to tell their stories,’ Al-Otul said…”
