Transcribed from the clipping

“NABLUS, Israeli-occupied Jordan — Confidence that an independent Palestinian state will eventually be established appears to be growing rapidly among the approximately three million Palestinian Arabs living in what they consider to be a new state.”

Context added by this archive

James F. Clarity for the New York Times News Service, printed in Nashua. Read the dateline:

Nablus, Israeli-occupied Jordan. The West Bank is named for the state that administered it until 1967 and the state that occupies it after, and the word Palestine appears in the piece only as a thing the people are confident about. The clipping came to this archive dated 1955; the masthead says Wednesday, 5 February 1975, and 5 February 1975 was a Wednesday.
