Slain cartoonist wins award LONDON - A Palestinian cartoon- ist who was murdered in London last year has become the first Arab and the only cartoonist to be awarded the Gold- en Pen of Freedom award by the Inter- national Federation of Newspaper Publishers. Naji al-Ali was 49 when he was shot last July and he died five weeks later.
