Palestine Police Report Night of Terror; Entire Jewish Village Arrested

“All the population of the Jewish settlement of Beth Haavara was reported arrested by Palestine police after a night of widespread terror… a British army unit surrounded the village and carried out a complete search… All persons found in the village were reported brought to a prison here for further investigation.”

The Night of the Bridges. The archive holds British collective punishment applied to Arab villages near Jaffa in 1921 and to eight thousand people in Gaza in 1938; this is the same instrument used on a Jewish village. One administration, one method, both peoples.
