Palestinian swimmer Raad Aweisat trains in a swimming pool in east Jerusalem on Thursday. Massive nylon sheets surround the pool from all sides keeping in the heat, but the room has no ventilation and the smell of chlorine soaks the steam-filled pool hall. (Associated Press)
