Transcribed from the clipping

The U.N. General Assembly passed a series of resolutions widely seen as anti-Israel. The body passed its annual resolutions Thursday extending the mandates of the so-called Palestinian committees, which support the Palestinians’ agenda at the United Nations.

How this transcription was made

Date and publication rest on the collector's slide label; no masthead, folio or printed dateline appears on this clipping. Adjudicated confirmed against the printed page: No masthead or folio; the only standing type is the department line "COMPILED FROM JTA REPORTS" above the headline — the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, a Jewish community wire, which fits a Jewish weekly . Filed under the archive’s spelling; the page prints “St Louis Jewish Light”.

Context added by this archive

A four-line news brief, complete as shown — the whole item is transcribed above. No Palestinian is named or quoted; the Palestinian committees are ‘so-called’ and the resolutions are ‘widely seen as anti-Israel’ with no attribution for who sees them that way. Nothing to do with Ofer Winter despite the slide grouping.

This record is part of Covering Palestine, an archive of American newspaper clippings about Palestinians, 1724 to 2023. Researched and assembled by Maria Robles.

The clipping belongs to the newspaper that printed it, or to the news agency that supplied the copy. It is reproduced here for research, criticism and commentary. A city here is where the newspaper was published, not where the story came from, and on most records it was taken from the masthead.

Something wrong here, or something you know about this clipping? The archive is still being built and corrections are wanted: maria@rozumstudio.com, quoting CP-2005-022.
