Israel begins withdrawal from Jenin refugee camp

“Israeli forces began withdrawing from the Jenin refugee camp… Mahmoud Balas, 47, a resident of the camp, said his family had fled on foot… Umm Haitham al-Batawi, 66, spoke from the hospital where her daughter-in-law was being treated after being attacked by Israeli army dogs. ‘I’m tired of having to leave my house again and again,’ she said… Nidal Al-Obeidi, Jenin’s mayor, said the infrastructure damage would take months to repair… Miri Eisin, a former Israeli intelligence officer, said the operation was what Israelis call ‘mowing the grass’ — to lower the risks…”
