“The medal of the Order of the British Empire has been presented to two Palestinian Jews who performed deeds of exceptional heroism in the campaign against the Turks… The recipients of the medals were Mr. Lova Schnerson and Mr. Yussef Davidesco, both of whom were employed in the Intelligence Department of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force.”
