“JERUSALEM, Dec. 26. (UP)—Arabs, Jews and Britons in Palestine are adding up the heavy toll of casualties suffered in the holy land’s undeclared war today and yesterday. Unofficial reports say 25 Arabs, 10 Jews and two Britons lost their lives in violent battles on Christmas Day. And sniping between Jews and Arabs continues today. Incidents are reported from Safad, north of the Negev Desert area. Also from Galilee, where two Jews were seriously wounded this morning by marauding Arab bands.”
