“Jerusalem, (AP)—Haganah, the Jewish Agency’s militia, and Irgun Zvai Leumi, Jewish underground fighting force, made attacks Monday upon the Arabs, Jewish sources said. It was the first report of action by both groups since the disclosure Sunday that they had agreed to consolidate their forces in a common front against the Arabs. The Jewish informants said the Irgun fighters attacked Arabs in a village 10 miles east of Natanya. A number of Arabs were reported wounded and six houses wrecked. The Haganah force blew up an Arab house near Beth Dajan, in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa area. In Palestine one Jew and four Arabs were killed in scattered incidents.”
