Drawn one month after the repeal, and the cartoonist has already worked out what comes next. The word he chose for the second panel was Pending. It runs above a syndicated column about the State Department deciding to strongly condemn rather than strongly deplore Israel, in which the Democratic front-runner, Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas, is quoted calling the language a mistake.
