World has ignored intent of Great March of Return
Martin Maltz, Rochester

Transcribed from the clipping
Six weeks ago, long before the decision to move our Embassy to Jerusalem was announced, Hamas started a movement in Gaza they named “The Great March of Return.” The name alone made it clear that this was not going to be a peaceful demonstration, but a forceful invasion.
The world has ignored the clear intent of this latest attempt by Hamas to invade and destroy the State of Israel, and focused on the means that Israel has employed to deal with it.
However, if a million Mexicans, backed by a well-trained terrorist force, were trying to cross the Rio Grande to return Texas to its rightful status as a Mexican state, slaughtering as many Americans as necessary, and maybe a few more out of spite, how do you think we’d respond?
How this transcription was made
Read from the scan by a machine looking at the image of the page, not by optical character recognition and not by a person. The clipping carries no masthead and no dated folio line, so the date recorded here could not be checked against anything printed on the page. Nothing on the page contradicts it.

This record is part of Covering Palestine, an archive of American newspaper clippings about Palestinians, 1724 to 2023. Researched and assembled by Maria Robles.
The clipping belongs to the newspaper that printed it, or to the news agency that supplied the copy. It is reproduced here for research, criticism and commentary. A city here is where the newspaper was published, not where the story came from, and on most records it was taken from the masthead.
