14— Palestinian Arab refugees in camps in Lebanon and Syria have been demonstrating for the last ..two days in connection with the open- ing of the Arab-Israeli conference of the Palestine Concillation: Com- mission in Paris. parades through Meetings and the camps with black flags have beet have been sent telegrams. committees to the secretary gen- eral of the Arab League, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency and local authorities.
All refugee committees from Haj Amin el Husseini's Arab Higher Committee to the most liberal groups support a demand for re- turn of the refugees to their orig- inal homes in Palestine. The only exception is the Communists oper- ating at present under the pseudo- nym of the not very clearly defined Palestine Arab Refugee Congress. This type of spreading agita
