Transcribed from the clipping

“Gaza’s inhabitants are cared for by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). But the six and a half years of exile have made the refugees bitter. Some prefer to risk death by nightly forays into Israeli territory for equipment and cattle.

‘Retrieved,’ say the Arabs of these things. ‘Stolen,’ say the Israelis.”

The scan is a screen capture and carries a floating Change date button from the newspaper database over the image. The page itself is unobstructed.

Context added by this archive

A picture page on the Gaza camps, and in the caption one sentence that is this whole archive in miniature: the same act, two words, depending who is speaking. The other captions call an Israeli pipeline a lifeline and describe young Israeli-born settlers farming within gunshot hearing of Gaza while getting military training.
