Transcribed from the clipping

“LUNCH ON THE U. N. — This Arab mother, a displaced Palestinian, spoons food for her child in hospital at the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza. Food was from supplies provided by the United Nations officials… Picture by AP Photographer Raoul Fornezza.” (AP Wirephoto)

Context added by this archive

The Indianapolis Star ran this same Wirephoto four days earlier with the same caption and nothing in front of it (CP-1957-003). This paper added three words above it. Nothing in the caption body changed: a photograph of a woman feeding a sick child in a refugee camp hospital, slugged with a joke about who is paying for the meal. This printing also credits the photographer, which the other does not.
