An archaeologist who found, during one of four excavations in Jerusalem, 22 towers that date from the time of Jehosaphat, is the guest evangelist in the revival this week at Gentian Boulevard Baptist Church. The Rev. Randolph D. Mullis is host pastor. Dr. Marc H. Lovelace, professor of archaeology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N.

C., spent 15 months, 1955-56, as fellow in the School of Oriental Research in Jerusalem in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. "Half of what used to be called Palestine is the Arab section," Dr. Lovelace said in an interview Sunday night. "The Jewish section is the modern state of Israel." Dr.

Lovelace spent three months excavating in Old Testament Jericho under the direction of Dr. Kathleen Kenyon, director of the Institute of Archaeology at the University of London. She is the daughter of the late Sir Frederick Kenyon, a director of the British Museum. He termed this "a very fruitful digging."

LABEL ORDER: Maria's label lists slide 73 as 'The Elkhart Truth April 14 1951' then 'The Columbus Enquirer March 23 1959'. The images are in the reverse order: s073_1 is the Columbus Enquirer and s073_2 is the Elkhart Truth.

Folio reads 'Page Twelve' at the left and 'The Columbus Enquirer, Columbus, Ga.,' at the right; the date would follow that final comma but is cut off by the right edge of the scan. Paper and page are verified; the date is not. There is no deck; the crossheads 'Dhiban Excavated' and 'Tells of Rain Damage' are crossheads inside the story.

The rest of the page carries unrelated items — 'Phenix Church Group Sponsors YMCA Supper', 'Two Are Injured In City Wrecks', 'Golfer Makes Ace Off Ball of Partner', 'Senator Catcher Has Broken Bone', 'Soviet Border Guards Praised In Spy Stories', 'Garcia Hurt In Exhibition' — none of which is part of this article. Photo caption: 'GUEST EVANGELIST OPENS REVIVAL—Dr. Marc H.

Mullis, host pastor.—Enquirer photo by Ed Streeky.' WORDS FOR THE PLACE AND ITS PEOPLE: the article says 'Palestine' once and only as a thing that 'used to be called' that.

Otherwise: 'the Arab section', 'the Jewish section', 'the modern state of Israel', 'the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan', 'Jerusalem', 'Old Testament Jericho', 'the Near East', 'Dhiban', 'Dibon', 'the Moabites', 'Tekoa', 'The Buqe-a', 'the Biblical wilderness of Judea', 'Bethel', 'Qumran', 'the Essenes', 'the Hebrews', 'the Israelites', 'King Mesha of Moab'.

No living person in the land is named or quoted. Everyone named is American, British or ancient. Columns two, three and four were read at page magnification only; the Palestine quotation and the opening paragraphs were transcribed from magnified crops.
