“Arabs Crossing River. An Arab couple with their child make their way across the bombed-out Allenby Bridge over the Jordan River at Jericho to the east bank of the river. They were among Arab refugees heading into Jordan away from the Israeli occupation on the west bank of the river.” (AP Wirephoto)
