“We are outraged as human beings — and feel a pressing responsibility to publicize our outrage as Jews — at the genocidal war which Israel is presently waging against the Palestinian, Lebanese and other Arab peoples... Is this Israel’s Final Solution to the Palestine Question: Genocide?” Signed: “With great sadness that this letter needed writing, we sign ourselves: Jews Against Genocide.”

Eleven named American Jews in Syracuse during the invasion of Lebanon. The paper set the headline, and set it bare. The same argument the rabbis were making in these papers in 1917 and 1937, sixty-five years on.
