Transcribed from the clipping

“The murder of more than 40 Palestinians at Ramadan prayer in a mosque in the West Bank town of Hebron yesterday cannot be dismissed as the action of a psychopath and nothing more…

The massacre was predictable. We in the Jewish religious peace movement are often called traitors, our lives have been threatened, our motives demeaned. Bombs have been placed near Peace Now and the New Israel Fund offices, and my magazine, Tikkun, has received bomb threats.”

Context added by this archive

Written and published within a day. Lerner argues from inside the Jewish religious peace movement and lists the threats made against it, which is the part that does not usually survive into later accounts.
