“Israeli Education Minister Yossi Sarid told UNESCO yesterday he would rid his nation’s schoolbooks of negative stereotypes about Arabs… Villagers who were in the fields and did not know of the curfew were shot dead by members of the Israeli Border Police as they returned to their homes.

Several Border Police officers were sentenced to long prison terms but these were commuted.”
