Going through the two Israels

Transcribed from the clipping
“Palestinian women giving birth at checkpoints because Israeli soldiers won’t let them through (four documented cases last year).”
Context added by this archive
A traveller’s account from Hebron that stops to count. The four documented cases sit in a parenthesis in the middle of a list, between a barbed-wire fence built in 2004 and the diversion of water. Twelve years after the Tucson Citizen reported one of them by name.
