“At the Zionist meeting in London Radicals and Conservatives have scored an even break.
The Radicals wanted all the land declared nationalized at once, while the Conservatives carried the day with theoretic ownership and gradual acquisition by purchase from the owners… In the meantime no one seems to have taken into consideration the 600,000 Fellaheen in the narrowest limits of Palestine and more than a million in the borders once ruled by David and Solomon.
This population represents the actual tillers of the soil from time immemorial. In 5000 years of recorded history Palestine has been invaded by Babylonians, Egyptians, Hittites, Israelites, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Euro—”
