WOMEN ZIONISTS AT FETE. Celebrate Purim and Seventeenth Anniversary of Hadassah. The New York Chapter of Hadas- sah, the Women's Zionist Organiza- tion, celebrated yesterday afternoon Feast of Purim and the seven- the teenth anniversary of the founding of Hadassah at the Central Syna- gogue Community House, 35 East Sixty-second Street. Dr.

Nahum So- kolow, chairman of the World Zion- ist Executive, predicted that Pales- tine would become the centre of civi- lization in the Near East.

Nathan Straus, whose gifts to the health work of Hadassah in Pales- tine include the new Nathan and Lina Straus Health Centre in Jeru- salem, lighted the eighteenth candle on Hadassah's birthday cake to symbolize its future after Mrs. Jacob Schwarz, first vice president; e of the New York chapter, had light- t ed the seventeen candles represent- ing its age.
