“JERUSALEM (AP) — Undercover Israeli soldiers raided a Palestinian wedding party in an occupied West Bank village, wounding the father of the bride and arresting her brother, Arab reports said Friday.
The Israeli army said troops carried out a raid in Barta on Thursday afternoon, but would not say whether the target was a wedding reception nor whether the soldiers were in civilian dress. Arab reports said the soldiers shot and wounded the bride’s father, Yousef Kabaha, in the leg while arresting her brother Marouf, 28. Two other men were also arrested at the party.
The army confirmed that Marouf Kabaha was arrested and said he has been wanted for a year on suspicion of weapons possession and attacking alleged Arab collaborators. Kabaha’s father, along with two other party guests later detained, threw stones at soldiers. The elder Kabaha was shot and wounded after he ran away and ignored calls to halt, the army said.”

Two Palestinians are named, both by their relationship to the bride: her father Yousef Kabaha, shot in the leg, and her brother Marouf, 28, arrested. The bride is not named. It is her wedding, and she is the fixed point everyone else is described from.
