“Downing Airliner Also Terrorism. In an editorial of Feb. 23, you make the statement that the Israelis ‘have been besieged by all manner of terrorism for years.’ Indeed, bandits living in a stolen house might fear the owners’ attempts to recover it.
Israeli bombing of refugee camps in Lebanon and Syria caused hundreds of civilian deaths — but you do not call this ‘terrorism!’ The Israeli ‘tragedy’ is that a Jewish state could only exist by the genocide of Palestine. That genocide has continued for 50 years. Apparently you favor religious apartheid in the Holy Land.”
