“I don’t agree with the resolution. We should do more for the Zionists. They are people who have done nothing but good. The Israelis have the right to the land. The Arabs don’t have rights to the land because all they do is fight and they don’t want peace. The Isarelis want to live in peace and make the land prosperous for everyone there. They should have the land. Zionism is not racism. You can’t say that if you want to live in peace. We shouldn’t pull out of the UN. We should all try to live in peace, the Israelis and the Arabs too. They shouldn’t leave a minority group like the Zionists out without a country. Israel has gone through too much to have other countries, especially America, forget about them.”

A street interview in New Rochelle four days after the vote, printed with the speaker’s name, occupation and full home address, which was ordinary practice. The paper spells Isarelis. This is what the Harris Survey was measuring, one person at a time.
