“A recent letter sneaked in a mention of ‘genocide’ in Palestine and compared it to the Nazis. There is no comparison. No one seeks to wipe Palestinians off the face of the Earth the way the Nazis tried to wipe out the Jews and gypsies; that is, unless it is Hamas trying to wipe out Fatah, and vice-versa. Adolf Hitler never handed the Jews their own place to live.
Israel handed Gaza to the Palestinian Authority and is willing to give up most of the West Bank, too. No Jews or gypsies fired artillery (the 1940s equivalent of rockets) into Germany or any other part of Europe, for that matter.
If either side is Nazi-like, it is the Palestinians, whose charter still calls for wiping Israel off the face of the Earth and forbids Jews from living in any eventual Palestinian country.”
