Transcribed from the clipping

JERUSALEM, June 29 — An Arab leader in the West Bank said today that representatives from the occupied territories might join autonomy talks between Egypt, Israel and the United States if the Palestine Liberation Organization agreed.

Another condition for joining the talks, according to the Arab community leader, Hikmat al-Masri, was acknowledgment of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.

How this transcription was made

Second, unrelated article on the same scan as the preceding record. It occupies the lower left of the cut, below the Fleener story’s first column, under its own headline and its own dateline. Only the first two paragraphs are on the clipping; the story is cut off where the scan ends. — Same page as the preceding record: “SATURDAY, JUNE 30, 1979” across the top of the cut. The dateline is “JERUSALEM, June 29”. Agrees with Maria’s label. — INCOMPLETE. These are the only two paragraphs on the scan; the story continues below the bottom edge of the clipping. Nothing has been supplied.
