Negib Diab, editor of Mirat-ul-Gharb: 'the Arabs have been comparatively silent these years, but that is not a sign that they are in favor of Zionism. They have realized that they are powerless to oppose a movement so ably sponsored by political and economic forces vastly superior to their own; their silence is a sign of weakness, not of love to Zionism.'
