“In answer to our ambassador to the United Nations, Mr. Moynihan, and his savage attack on the UN resolution… Ben-Gurion, quoted by I. F. Stone: ‘. . . Israel is the country of the Jews and only of the Jews.’ Moshe Dayan on ‘Face the Nation’: ‘There are about a million Arabs whom we don’t want as citizens in Israel . . . it would turn Israel into either a bi-national or an Arab-Jewish state instead of a Jewish state, and we want a Jewish state.’ Golda Meir to the Knesset: ‘I want a Jewish state with a decisive Jewish majority which cannot change overnight . . . I always believed this was plain Zionism.’… Moshe Dayan to students in Haifa: ‘There is not a single Jewish village in the country that has not been built on the site of an Arab village. The village of Nahalal took the place of the Arab village of Mahloul . . . Gifat took the place of Jifta.’… Joseph Weitz of the Jewish Agency Colonization Department, in Davar: ‘The only solution is Palestine without Arabs . . . not one village, not one tribe should be left.’”
